Logan County KY is a small county in southwest United States which is made up by numerous small cities, each with their own unique characteristics and features worth to know about and worth to visit. Lewisburg is located in Logan County Kentucky and it a small city extended over an area of a little more than one square mile, 1.2 square miles. All its territory is made up by land and there are no rivers or lake in Lewisburg. This city is one of the smallest in the area with less than 1000 inhabitants. According to the 2000 census there were 903 people living in Lewisburg in 415 households and organized in 249 families. The city is however quite crowded because it is small but it accommodates a relatively large number of people. The population density is 742 people per square mile. Lewisburg is also one of the Logan County KY cities with the highest percentage of white individuals, who account for over 98% of the total of inhabitants in this city. Yet, other races such as Hispanic, Native Americans and Asian were also recorded at the same census.

The population is spread relatively equally in terms f ages. A quarter of the inhabitants were then under the age of 18, another quarter was aged 25-44 and another quarter 45-64. The rest was made up by individuals aged 18 to 24 and 65 or older. But there was one thing that made Lewisburg popular and that was the fact that it was the home of the NASA astronaut Timothy Kopra, a well known US army lieutenant.
