The lake Malone Park is situated in Kentucky State, in Dunmore to be more specific. Although it is known as one of the main Logan County attractions, the Lake Malone Park is extended through the territory of three different counties, namely the Muhlenberg County, the Logan County and Todd County. It is estimated to encompass 338 acres or 1.4 square km and it features various picnic areas as, campsites as well as a dock, swimming area and a boat ramp. The park also features the Laurel Trail, a 1.5 mile trail leading through forest featuring holly, dogwood, wildflowers as well as obviously mountain laurel. The Lake Malone itself extends over 780 acres and it is managed by the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife. Commonly, fishermen and boaters can be seen on this lake.

The lake Malone is also enclosed by 50 foot sandstone bluffs which rise right above the water's edge and the Lake Malone Park features a Wildflower trail as well, in addition to the Laurel Trail. The former is however shorter, of only 0.25 miles compared to 1.5 miles. Individuals can come to the Lake Malone Park and camp, hike or bike and do many other activities that people would normally undertake in a natural reservation. The administration of the park provides visitors with different campsites designed for RVs or tents.
